MQM IN PUNJAB

The MQM’s convention across central and southern Punjab is a welcome development. One hopes that it can someday liberate the country’s most populous province from the yokes of feudal and industrial exploiters.

The social development record of the MQM remains exceptional. The network of flyovers and other infrastructure in Karachi speaks for itself. The party does not have loan defaulters, fake degree holders or kinfolk of party leadership sitting in the two houses.

The feudal system and industrial/commercial cartels are conjoined in politics like Siamese twins. One is reminded of the duo that ran Punjab affairs for eight long years (Source: Dawn/ www.newslinekarachi.com)
